I invest a significant portion of my daily life to tending to my body. While this may seem like a deviation from this website’s usual topics, it has really evolved into a passion that now occupies much of my thoughts and doings in real life. That’s why I feel it’s important to share where this journey is taking me on my personal website.

This project—the desire to master my own body—was seeded by my mother, a yoga practitioner and teacher for over two decades, who constantly pushes her own boundaries of learning and activity, which seem to know no limits. My own journey has been shaped by a variety of influences: alignment-focused Iyengar yoga, the anatomical awareness that Pilates fosters, and more recently, my foray into swimming. This newfound experience of moving in water has highlighted the need for my body to develop a connected awareness, allowing force to transfer efficiently to cope with fluid resistance. These practices inform and enrich one another, helping me to create a daily routine at home that enables me to sustain, recover, and, most importantly, nurture a more active body and life.

I plan to document what I call my "home practice”—the routines and imaginative tools I employ to support my well-being as I navigate the demands of being a barista, a swimmer, a yoga practitioner, and a Pilates student outside of my home. I hope that this record becomes an invaluable resource and repository—a place where I can reflect on my needs at different points in life, and how my bodily practice and research have responded to those needs.

If anyone shares similar passions, please feel free to reach out. I’d love to connect.
